The times above were using the P79 setup at the left. I took it to the track on Import Day just to see how ran. It turned out to be very fast off the line even with stock tires and normal launch.

But It started stumbling near the top of third gear which I later traced down to fuel starvation due the stock carburetion. In recalculating the times from a the 1/8th mile figures I get a zero-to-sixty of 5.15 and a 1/4 mile of 13.8@100. Pretty good for a 38 year old carbureted 6-cylinder. The car I raced was a '69 camaro, I was ahead until about 70 MPH, bet he was sweating.

With low rear-end gearing, good spark, and a cam to open the top end up these motor can produce some really impressive results.
